How does a medical marijuana card work in Pasco?

Can I get my Washington medical marijuana card via telehealth?

An annual renewal can be done by video if, at that in-person initial visit, your provider noted in your record that requiring you to attend in person would be a severe hardship because of your physical or emotional condition. (That note is a separate thing from a "compassionate care renewal," which is about renewing your recognition card without having to be physically present at a retailer.)

Why do I have to come in for the initial visit?

Washington statute (RCW 69.51A.030) requires the initial physical examination to be in person. Some online services advertise telehealth-only initials, but we don't offer that — see our why-in-person-initial page for the full regulatory explanation.

How long does a telehealth renewal take?

Renewal appointments are typically 15–20 minutes. You'll learn the decision the same visit, and your new written authorization is mailed within 3–5 business days.
